ISOO Executive Board Position Responsibilities
President
The duties of the President are to:
Ensure that all statutes and protocols are followed in a timely manner at all times
Supervise all officers and provide any assistance required
Vice-President
The duties of the Vice-President are to:
Be prepared to assume the role of President, temporarily or permanently, at any time
Advise and assist all officers as necessary
Organize a committee meeting within a day of becoming President
Hon. Secretary
The duties of the Hon. Secretary are to:
Organize the business meeting at the conference
Organize meetings of the executive committee
Organize the conference in collaboration with the Local Host
Maintain the archives of the Society
Treasurer
The duties of the Treasurer are to:
Ensure that all funds are held safely
Collect dues from all members
Ensure that all bills are paid in a timely manner
Publish a balance sheet at the conference business meeting
Advise officers on the affordability of any initiatives and purchases
Advise the committee on the required registration fees and membership dues
Demonstrate balance sheets of all accounts to committee members on request
Transfer funds and accounts to a successor in an orderly manner
Program Secretary
The duties of the Program Secretary are to:
Organize the program of the next conference
Define sections of the conference syllabus
Appoint Chairs for the relevant sections
Select invited speakers, in collaboration with the executive committee
Senior Adviser
The duties of the Senior Adviser are to:
Advise the committee on procedural and strategic matters as necessary
Assist other officers on request
