ISOO Executive Board Position Responsibilities

President

  • The duties of the President are to:

  • Ensure that all statutes and protocols are followed in a timely manner at all times

  • Supervise all officers and provide any assistance required

Vice-President

  • The duties of the Vice-President are to:

  • Be prepared to assume the role of President, temporarily or permanently, at any time

  • Advise and assist all officers as necessary

  • Organize a committee meeting within a day of becoming President

Hon. Secretary

  • The duties of the Hon. Secretary are to:

  • Organize the business meeting at the conference

  • Organize meetings of the executive committee

  • Organize the conference in collaboration with the Local Host

  • Maintain the archives of the Society

Treasurer

  • The duties of the Treasurer are to:

  • Ensure that all funds are held safely

  • Collect dues from all members

  • Ensure that all bills are paid in a timely manner

  • Publish a balance sheet at the conference business meeting

  • Advise officers on the affordability of any initiatives and purchases

  • Advise the committee on the required registration fees and membership  dues

  • Demonstrate balance sheets of all accounts to committee members on request

  • Transfer funds and accounts to a successor in an orderly manner

Program Secretary

  • The duties of the Program Secretary are to:

  • Organize the program of the next conference

  • Define sections of the conference syllabus

  • Appoint Chairs for the relevant sections

  • Select invited speakers, in collaboration with the executive committee

Senior Adviser

  • The duties of the Senior Adviser are to:

  • Advise the committee on procedural and strategic matters as necessary

  • Assist other officers on request
