Membership & Presentation Guidelines

  • Non-Members Cannot Present: All presenters must be ISOO members in some category (Ordinary, Collaborating, or Member in Training).

  • Main Podium Presentations:

    • The presenting author can be a non-ordinary member, provided at least one co-author is an Ordinary Member.

    • Posters and case presentations are exempt from this requirement.

    • If an abstract has no Ordinary Member co-author, an exception request must include a short statement on the significance of the research to the society.

  • Why Become an Ordinary Member?

    • Eligibility for main podium presentations

    • Full voting rights and access to the ISOO Business Meeting

    • Discounted registration rates and an enhanced role in the global ocular oncology community

Important Deadlines

  • May 31, 2025: Deadline to apply for Ordinary Membership if you’d like podium rights and full member privileges at ISOO Rio. Applications received after this date may be accepted as Collaborating Members instead.

  • March 1, 2026: Membership applications submitted after this date are not guaranteed approval in time for the conference.
